Elise’s fascination with eyes began in childhood, surrounded by family superstition and symbolism. Growing up in an Italian household, protective charms and amulets were part of daily life, meant to guard against malocchio, the evil eye. That heritage and the surrealist imagery of Dalí inspired this modern interpretation: an eye that both watches over and feels deeply.
