June 8 was World Oceans Day and is celebrated every year to create awareness about the benefits that mankind gets from the ocean. The ocean offers tranquility, food, and habitat to some of the most beautiful and interesting creatures. We collect whatever it leaves for us to grapple on its sea shores such as shells, fragments of half eaten animals, seaweed, and what used to be life forms. We are inspired by the oceans treasures, textures, aqua and turquoise colors, mystery, and gems (pearls and mother of pearl) and can be reminded of its beauty through jewelry inspired by it.
